Dr. Jessica Palmer                                             

Dr. Jessica Palmer graduated from Troy State University, in Troy, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999. She obtained her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham in 2005. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Alabama Optometric Association, the Birmingham Area Optometric Society and the University of Alabama, Birmingham, School of Optometry Alumni Association.  She was awarded Greater        Shelby County Optometrist of the Year in 2015.
 
 
 
Dr. Rena Lewis

Dr. Rena Lewis
 
Dr. Lewis graduated from Birmingham Southern College.  She obtained her optometry degree from the University of Alabama School of Optometry in 1986.  She continued as UAB School of Optometry's first Resident in Pediatric Optometry.  From 1997-2008, Dr. Lewis practiced pediatric optometry at the Callahan Eye Foundation Hospital.  We are pleased that she has joined us this last year at our practice.
 
 
 
 
 

Dr. Leah Kirkemier

Dr. Kirkemier graduated from the University of Alabama School of Optometry in 2006.  She currently teaches at the UAB School of Optometry when she isn't seeing patients at the Narrows.  We are excited for her to join us.

Dr. Anita Saxena
 
Dr. Saxena graduated from the University of Alabama School of Optometry in 2006.  She is primarily seeing patients at our Sylacauga location.  Prior to joining us, she practiced in the retinal clinic at the UAB Callahan Eye Foundation. When she is not seeing patients, she teaches and competes in ice skating.

Kendall is our office manager and optician.  He comes to us with 12 years of optical experience.  He is available to answer any of your eyeglass questions, and will be working behind the scenes to make your lenses in our on-site lab.  He also helps Dr. Palmer with patient special testing.

Tessa Rodman

Tessa has 10 years of optical experience.  Her specialty is helping you pick out the best frame and lens option for your needs.  In addition, she also helps Dr. Palmer with patient special testing, as well as contact lens training.

       Front Office/Insurance Coordinator
